The United Church of God Dallas will be hosting our eighth annual Teen Formal event
on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
You invited to come and enjoy an elegant, formal dinner, graduate presentation, and dance the night away! Formal or Sabbath attire is required for this special evening. All teens attending church, ages 13-19 (or age 12 in seventh grade) are welcome and encouraged to attend.
There will be special recognition for those teens that are graduating Seniors this year. Parents of seniors are especially encouraged to attend. Parents are still welcome to stop by and observe their son or daughter's special recognition even if they choose not to participate in the dinner.

SATURDAY
- Sabbath Services
Services will be held at the same location as the dinner and dance.
- Formal Dinner and Dance
This event is planned to give our teens a special formal evening,
where they may dine with friends and dance to their favorite music.
Join us for an elegant evening with a lovely catered dinner followed by a formal dance.
Come dressed to impress in your best formal or semi-formal wear.
This evening promises to be one that will create lasting special memories as well as
provide an opportunity to demonstrate refined social graces.
SUNDAY
- Regional Basketball Tournament Games
The Fort Worth congregation is once again hosting the Regional Basketball games for this final Basketball Tournament of the year. The games will be played at:

Dress Code |
LADIES' ATTIRE
- Formal or Sabbath wear is required.
- Long gowns are encouraged but not required. Please use discretion when selecting a gown to assure that it is tasteful and appropriate
GENTLEMENS' ATTIRE
- Tuxedo or Coat and Tie Required
DRESS CODE WILL BE ADHERED TO STRICTLY
Our desire is for all to enjoy a quality and memorable evening.
As such, we ask that all participants be mindful of the need for appropriate dress
and modesty in their planning for this very special event.

Special Recognition for High School Seniors |
|
Are you a Graduating Senior this year?
If so, please tell us a little about yourself!
We would like you to provide 3 or 4 pictures, one baby plus 3 to your current age for a special presentation.
These are requested to be sent by March 13th.
We prefer that the pictures are emailed, however if digital copies or email is not available, please send hard copies to address below.
In either case, please follow up with a SEPARATE email (with no attachments) or phone call to ensure that
we have received your pictures, as occasionally large attachments do not go through!!
Any pictures that are mailed will be returned at the formal.

Participation Costs |

The cost of the 2009 Dallas Regional Teen Formal is $33 per person, to be paid in full AND received by March 18, 2009.
For those who wish to stay at the hotel, rooms are available at the Southfork Hotel
at a rate of $69.00 per night available both Friday and Saturday night. Additional rooms are available at the nearby overflow hotel as well.
The Teen Formal ticket price covers the following:
- Saturday Dinner, taxes, and gratuties
- Saturday Dance

Please make sure you send in your payment ahead of time. This year sunset will be at 7:44 pm, therefore, we will not be accepting payments at the registration table.
We would like ALL teens who desire to attend this event be able to come. We realize that for some families, especially those with more than one teen, cost may be a factor. If cost would prevent you from attending, please let us know. Some money has been set aside to help enable others attend. Chaperones |
|
We are requesting that each church area provide at least two chaperones for this event
who will be attending the Dinner as well as the dance. Chaperones may be asked to assist
with registration, dress code enforcement, security, etc. Please note on the registration
if you are participating as a Chaperone.

Parents of Graduating Seniors |
|
We would like to extend a special invitation to parents of graduating seniors to register
and attend this event.
